At Kiln Temmoku, we don’t do factory‑line uniformity. Every jian zhan is born from clay, flame, and the unpredictable beauty of kiln transmutation.
Each piece carries its own unique glaze pattern, iron crystal spots, and flow lines – no two are ever identical. When you order from us, you are receiving an authentic, hand‑fired tea ware, made to be used and appreciated over a lifetime.

01 Return Policy
We want you to love your jian zhan. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you may return unused, undamaged items within 14 days of delivery.
- ✅ Change of mind? No problem – returns accepted within 14 days. Buyer pays return shipping.
- ✅ Wrong item or defect? We will cover return shipping and send you a replacement or full refund.
- ⚠️ Natural variations: Slight differences in glaze, spots, or size are not defects – they are the signature of handmade kiln art. Returns based on “not looking like the photo” due to natural transmutation are subject to buyer‑paid return.
02 If We Messed Up (Damage or Defect)
If your teaware arrives broken, cracked, or with a clear manufacturing defect (e.g., sharp firing error, glaze running onto the foot ring that affects use), we take full responsibility. We will provide a free replacement or full refund including shipping.
How to claim:
Email us at info@KilnTemmoku.com within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Clear photos of the damage (including the box and packaging).
- Photos of the entire item from multiple angles.
- MANDATORY: A photo of the Shipping Label on the package.
EU Customers: You have a 14‑day withdrawal right. Items must be returned unused and in original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping unless the item is defective.
